Material Preparation
- Materials: 12-colored UV Resin, Cabochon Gems Resin Molds, Artificial Leaves
- Tools: UV Light, A Pair of Tweezers, Glass Dome
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a respirator for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH. UV resin should be stored and used in a dark place. Exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light can make it cure too quickly and harden before you’re ready.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Push the inner part of the mold out from the bottom to create a semi-spherical shape.
Step 2
Apply the mold with a thin layer of colored UV resin, then immediately cure it under a UV light for 2 minutes to set the shape.
Step 3
After demolding, apply another layer of colored UV resin to the surface and quickly flip it over. Cure again under the UV light for 2 minutes. The dripping UV resin will naturally form a pyramid-like structure, resembling a mushroom cap.
Step 4
Squeeze strips of colored UV resin onto a silicone mat to form the mushroom stem, and cure under the UV light for 1 minute.
Step 5
Apply clear UV resin to the cork, attach the mushroom cap and stem, and cure once more to secure the assembly.
Step 6
Decorate the base with artificial leaves and moss, cover with a glass dome, and your colorful mushroom ornament is complete! This piece makes a perfect gift for plant-loving friends or family.
