- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a vapor mask for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 68~77 °F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window, or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Mix the epoxy resin thoroughly in a 1:1 ratio, then set aside a small amount of the mixed resin into several disposable mixing cups. Choose glitter and mica powder according to your preference, add them to the respective mixing cups, and stir thoroughly until evenly blended.
Tip:Adding a bit more glitter or mica powder at this stage will create a shinier surface and enhance the textured effect.

Step 2
Pour the resin mixtures into the bookmark mold in the order from top to bottom: resin mixed with mica powder, resin mixed with glitter, and clear resin. The total amount of the three resin mixtures should not exceed one-third of the mold's depth.
Tip:If you prefer a thinner bookmark, simply increase the amount of glitter or mica powder to achieve a rich color, then use a stirring stick to spread the resin evenly in the mold instead of pouring.

Step 3
Use a bamboo skewer to blend and transition the boundary between each layer.

Step 4
Decorate the dried flowers in the mold, then allow the resin piece to be cured for 8 hours.
Tip:Seal the dried flowers with a layer of clear epoxy resin. This step can help the name sticker adhere more firmly and help prevent air bubbles during its subsequent application.

Step 5
Apply the name sticker.

Step 6
Seal the surface with a clear resin mixture and allow it to cure for 12 hours.
Tip:If you prefer thin bookmarks, you can first demold the bookmark and then use a stirring stick to spread a thin layer of clear resin over its surface to seal it. This will naturally form a beautiful dome shape on the bookmark's surface.

Step 7
Demold the bookmark, attach a decorative tassel. Your creation is complete!

💡Pro Tip
It is recommended to use regular epoxy resin for making bookmarks. UV resin tends to shrink during curing, which can easily cause deformation and compromise the final shape of the piece.
