Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
Crafting time: about 30 minutes
Materials Preparation
- Materials: UV resin, resin dye, 8-color pigment paste, hologrpahic powder, hologrpahic glitter, flower alphabet keychain molds, keychain accessories
- Tools: Mixing stick, small measuring cup, 10ml syringe, double-sided UV lamp, toothpick
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a vapor mask for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 68~77 °F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window, or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Add a small amount of yellow and white color paste to the UV resin and stir thoroughly. Fill the letter cavities of the mold with the mixture, then cure under a double-sided UV lamp for 5 minutes.
Tip: UV resin mixed with color paste can be harder to cure. Carefully control the amount of color you use, especially if you’re a beginner or working with a weaker UV lamp. Because UV light doesn’t penetrate opaque colors easily, curing from both sides is essential. For thicker molds, pour and cure the resin in layers for best results.

Step 2
Apply a small amount of UV resin to the first flower layer. Place your favorite holographic glitter on top, then add another layer of UV resin to fully cover the glitter. Cure under a double-sided UV lamp for 2 minutes.
Tip: After placing the glitter, gently press it down to release any trapped air bubbles.

Step 3
Prepare six small measuring cups. Pour UV resin into each cup, add six different resin dye colors, and mix in holographic powder. Stir well and set aside.
Tip: Avoid direct sunlight while tinting UV resin, as it may cause premature curing. Work in a shaded area away from windows for best results.

Step 4
Using a syringe, draw 1 ml of each color in sequence until you have 6 ml total.
Tip: Be careful not to draw in air, air bubbles inside the syringe can cause unexpected color mixing.

Step 5
Inject the 6 ml of UV resin into the flower mold using a gentle Z-shaped motion. This technique creates a beautiful six-color gradient. Cure under a double-sided UV lamp for 5 minutes.
Tip: After filling the mold, use a toothpick to carefully remove any air bubbles. Avoid stirring the resin, as this can disrupt the gradient effect.

Step 6
Once fully cured, demold the piece and attach the keychain hardware and any small decorative elements. Your keychain is complete!

Step 7
This simple yet stunning rainbow UV resin keychain is not only practical for holding your keys, but also works beautifully as a decorative charm for your backpack or handbag. Give it a try and create one with us!

Pro Tip
UV resin generates heat while curing. Touching it before it has fully cooled may cause burns, fingerprints, or dust marks. Always wait until the piece has completely cooled before handling.
