Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
Crafting time: 1 hour
Materials Preparation
- Materials: Fast cure resin, UV resin, Coaster Mold Set, Mica powder, Dried Rose and leaves, Letter Stickers, Pearls
- Tools: Measuring cup, mixing stick, tweezers, scissors, toothpick , UV lamp
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a vapor mask for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 68~77 °F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window, or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Mix fast-cure resin at a 1:1 ratio by volume. Stir evenly until the mixture becomes clear and free of streaks (about 3 minutes). Add plum mica powder and mix thoroughly.
Tip: In colder temperatures, fast-cure resin becomes thicker. A warm water bath before use will help improve flow and mixing.

Step 2
Pour the mixed resin into the coaster mold until it reaches about half the mold’s height. Allow it to cure for approximately 5 hours.

Step 3
Select rose petals of suitable size and arrange them in circular layers. The top layer should be slightly smaller. Add a few leaves for extra detail.

Step 4
Once the layout is finalized, use a small amount of UV resin to secure the petals and leaves in place. Cure with a UV lamp.

Step 5
Choose additional rose petals for trimming.
Tip: Cut along the natural curve of the petal and use only the brightly colored upper portion.

Step 6
Arrange the trimmed petals in circular layers and secure each layer with UV resin. Cure under the UV lamp.
Tip: Adjust and trim petals as needed to ensure a neat and balanced layout.

Step 7
Apply letter stickers with Valentine’s phrases or names for personalization.

Step 8
Mix a small batch of clear fast-cure resin and pour it into the coaster mold to fully encapsulate the design. Allow it to cure for 8 hours.
Tip: Gently press the petals and leaves after pouring to release trapped air bubbles.

Step 9
Prepare the coaster holder. Select pearls approximately 0.2 inches in size and arrange them along the edge of the holder mold. Mix fast cure resin and pour it into the mold to cover the pearls. Let it cure for about 5 hours.
Tips:
1. Pour a small amount of resin first, gently pinch and tap the mold to release air bubbles, then pour the remaining resin.
2. Pearls may float or shift, use a toothpick to reposition them after pouring resin.

Step 10
Mix clear epoxy resin with plum mica powder. Pour it into the mold as the final layer, fill completely, and allow it to cure for 8 hours.

Step 11
Once fully cured, carefully demold both the coaster and the holder.

Step 12
Whether paired with coffee mugs, teacups, or used as a small organizer on a vanity or desk, this rose coaster adds a touch of romance and elegance to any space. It’s not just a coaster, it’s a miniature piece of art that lets every glance linger on love.

Pro Tip
If the edges feel sharp or there is slight resin overflow after demolding, trim the edges with a utility knife and lightly sand using 2000-grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.
