- ✨Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
- ⏰Crafting Time: About 30 minutes
Tools and Materials Preparation
Materials: Dragon Egg Resin Mold, Chameleon Flakes, Black Epoxy Resin
Tools: Stirring Sticks, Measuring Cups, Brushes
Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a respirator for safe handling.
Environment Setup
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Turn the mold inside out and use a brush to pick up some chameleon flakes, then brush them onto the inner surface of the mold.
Tip: It’s recommended to use a soft brush (such as an eyeshadow brush) to avoid scratching or removing the flakes with a rough brush, which could result in a patchy or uneven finish on the final piece.

Step 2
For detailed areas, such as the tips of the crystal cluster, gently brush into the fine details of the mold. Check carefully to make sure the flakes are evenly applied. Once the mold is fully coated, flip it back to its original position, then you’re ready to start pouring the resin.

Step 3
Mix the black epoxy resin in a 1:1 volume ratio to a total of 15 oz. Stir them for about 2–3 minutes until fully blended.
Tip: The mold requires approximately 13 oz of resin. It is recommended to prepare an additional 2 oz to account for any waste that may occur during the process.

Step 4
Pour the resin into the mold slowly. Avoid pouring the resin from too high a distance, as this can easily create more air bubbles.

Step 5
After pouring the resin into the mold, gently squeeze the tips of the crystal cluster details on the mold with your fingers to release the trapped air bubbles. This helps prevent gaps from forming at the pointed ends, ensuring the cured piece is complete.

Step 6
Allow the resin to cure for about 24 hours. Once fully cured, you can demold your creation!
Tip: If it's difficult to demold, try pouring a small amount of alcohol or soapy water along the inner edges. This will help demold much more easily.

Step 7
Just like that, a vibrant color-shifting dragon egg ornament is complete! It can be served as a gift for family or friends, displayed as festive decor at home, or used to hold candy as a thoughtful present.
