Notes
| Issue | Solution | Illustration |
|---|---|---|
| Edges of the finished product have gaps or chips because of bubble issues | This happens because 3D silicone molds tend to trap air, leading to chipped corners in the final piece. Solution: Start by pouring half of the resin, then gently pinch on the details and edges from the outside of the mold to release any trapped air. After placing the dried flowers, continue pouring the rest of the resin while pressing along the edges to eliminate bubbles. | ![]() ![]() |
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
This set includes two angel molds: one holding a heart and one holding a bouquet. We’ll style each a little differently using dried flowers. Start with the angel holding a heart. Roll a plastic sheet into a cone shape and secure it with hot glue.

Step 2
Attach dried flower petals to the cone using hot glue, layering them to form a soft, flowing “skirt” effect.

Step 3
Now move on to the angel holding a bouquet. Take a popsicle stick and use hot glue to attach dried flowers on it, creating a small bouquet. With that, your two dried flower setups are ready.

Step 4
Mix your epoxy resin thoroughly in a 1:1 volume ratio. Add gold foil flakes and a small amount of crushed dried flowers, then stir until evenly combined.
Tips for Using the Popsicle Stick Method
- Keep flowers in place: To position the flowers near the bottom, place small wooden blocks under the popsicle stick to lift it slightly. Secure the stick to the mold with hot glue so it doesn’t shift or float during pouring.
- Pour in layers: Pour the resin in two layers to avoid it sticking to the popsicle stick. First, pour most of the resin, leaving about 0.2 inches at the top. Once cured, remove the popsicle stick, then pour the final layer to fill the mold completely.

Step 5
Demold the pieces and attach a sticker with blessing words.

Step 6
Use alcohol markers and chrome markers to add color and decorative details.

Step 7
Complete! Which angel do you like better?
