Step 1

Mix the epoxy resin in a 1:1 ratio by volume. Add black mica powder until you reach your desired color, then pour the mixture into the tabletop mold to create the base layer.

Step 2

After letting the first layer cure for 24 hours, place the wine corks, dried orange slices, and bottle caps into the mold.

Step 3

Pour 10 oz of resin over the cork layer, spreading it evenly. Allow it to cure for 6–8 hours so the corks stay in place and don’t float. Then pour the next layer of resin, keeping each layer no thicker than 0.8 inches.

:alert:Tips

① Keep each layer under 0.8 inches to avoid flash curing.

② Allow 6–8 hours between layers to reduce visible lines.

Step 4

Once the tabletop has fully cured, remove it from the mold. If you notice uneven edges or surface imperfections, use a sander to smooth them out. Sandpaper between 1000–3000 grit is recommended.

Step 5.

Apply resin tape around the table edge to protect the sides, then pour a thin surface coat of resin. Allow it to cure for 12–24 hours.

:alert:Tip: After applying the coat layer, cover the table to prevent dust from settling on the surface and creating texture or ripples.
