- Tools: Scissors, pen, measuring cup, electric mixer, tweezers, bubble remover machine, preheating machine
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a vapor mask for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 68~77 °F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window, or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Apply lipstick to create some lip prints on white paper. Once dry, carefully cut out the lip shape using scissors.

Step 2
Write your message on the back of the lip print paper with a pen.

Step 3
Peel off one sheet of cold laminating film and place it sticky side up. Position the lip print paper pieces on top.
Tip: Leave at least 0.2 inches of space between each piece to allow room for proper sealing.

Step 4
Place another sheet of cold laminating film on top, sticky side down, to fully seal the lip print paper.
Tip: Start sealing from one corner and slowly press toward the opposite side to avoid trapping air bubbles.

Step 5
Cut around the lip print, leaving a narrow border, then firmly pinch the edges of the laminated film.
Tip: This border ensures the two layers of laminating film bond securely and prevents resin from seeping in, which could blur or fade the design.

Step 6
Prepare the photo using the same laminating method.
Tip: Since photos are thicker than paper, leave a slightly wider border to ensure a strong seal.

Step 7
Mix clear epoxy resin at a 1:1 ratio by volume. Use a bubble remover machine to defoam, then apply a thin layer of resin onto the laminated photo. This helps reduce air bubbles once the photo is placed into the mold.

Step 8
Pour a 0.2-inch layer of resin into the mold. Gently insert the photo from one side, pressing it down slowly to release trapped air. Add a small amount of gold foil for decoration and allow it to cure for 8 hours.

Step 9
Pour another layer of resin into the mold.

Step 10
Place the sealed lip print sheet on top and let it cure for another 8 hours.

Step 11
Pour a layer of clear resin to fully seal the lip print sheet and cure for 8 hours.
Tip: Adding a clear resin layer before colored resin base improves transparency and enhances light transmission in the finished piece.

Step 12
Mix red glitter with resin and pour it into the heart-shaped photo frame mold as the final layer. Then mix gold glitter with resin and pour it into the base part. Let it cure for 8 hours, your creation is complete!

During colder months, resin tends to thicken due to lower temperatures. Using a preheating machine and bubble remover in advance will improve resin flow and clarity, resulting in a smoother, more transparent finish.
