Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
Crafting Time: 1 hour
Tools and Materials Preparation
- Materials: Turtle Resin Mold, Epoxy Resin, Miniature Marine Figurines, Miniature Starfish and Sea Snails, Aquarium Plants, Holographic Paper, Resin Dyes, UV Resin, Chrome Markers
- Tools: Measuring Cups, Stirring Sticks, Tweezers, UV Flashlight
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a respirator for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Mix regular epoxy resin in a 1:1 ratio, stir thoroughly until there are no swirls. Pour a thin layer of the clear resin mixture into the turtle mold. Let it cure for 8 hours.
Tip: Do not pour too much resin at this step. Just enough to secure the miniature models in place.

Step 2
Apply a small amount of UV resin to fix the miniature fish onto the cured resin layer, then cure it under a UV flashlight until solid.

Step 3
Pour another layer of resin mixture until it reaches about half the height of the miniature fish, and let it cure for 12 hours.
Tip: If using flatter models, the resin can fully cover them.

Step 4
Place miniature starfish, sea snails, and artificial aquarium plants inside, securing them with a small amount of UV resin cured under a UV flashlight. Then, pour the resin mixture until all the fillings are submerged, and let it cure for 12 hours.
Tip: Place miniature starfish and sea snails first, then add aquarium plants afterward to avoid the plants covering the starfish and snails.

Step 5
Mix a cup of resin mixture with blue resin dye, and stir until thoroughly blended. Place holographic paper inside the mold, then pour the resin mixture to fill the mold. Let it cure for 12 hours.
Tips:
- Crumple the holographic paper before placing it to better simulate the shimmering effect of light on water.
- Pour a small amount of resin into mold, then place the holographic paper inside. Press gently to remove air bubbles, and then fill the mold completely with resin.

Step 6
After demolding, use a gold chrome marker to add decorative patterns and highlight the details.

Step 7
Complete! Let's give it a try!
