How to Deal with Clumping Glow-in-the-Dark Powder?
Have you ever encountered a similar issue? The recently opened glow-in-the-dark powder has developed clumping issues, preventing it from mixing evenly during the resin mixing process. The following methods may be attempted to avoid this problem.
Why Does Glow-in-the-Dark Powder Clump?
Glow-in-the-dark powder will naturally absorb moisture. Prolonged exposure to air can cause it to clump due to humidity, causing uneven dispersion, difficulty mixing with resin, and reduced luminous effect. To maintain its quality, always seal the container immediately after use and store it in a dry place.
How to Deal with Clumped Glow-in-the-Dark Powder?
- Using Isorophy: If the glow-in-the-dark powder has clumped due to moisture, first mix it with a small amount of Isorophy until the clumps dissolve. Then, gradually add resin and stir thoroughly.
- Mixing with Resin: Mix a small amount of resin with the clumped glow-in-the-dark powder until no clumps remain. Then add the resin mixture to the main batch of resin and stir evenly.
Storage Tips
To protect its luminescent properties, avoid using metal containers for storage or using metal stirring sticks.
