How to Remove Bubbles from Silicone Rubber?

Why do bubbles form?
Bubbles in silicone rubber are primarily caused by the following reasons:
- Air incorporation during mixing: The mixing process can easily trap air in the mixture, forming tiny bubbles.
- Improper pouring method: Pouring silicone rubber from a high height can encapsulate air into the silicone liquid, creating bubbles.
- Gas generation from chemical reactions: During the curing process, trace amounts of gas may be generated during the curing process, potentially resulting in internal bubbles.
Professional bubble removal methods:
1. Use Air-Zero Bubble Remover:
After mixing the silicone rubber in the mixing cup, place it into the Air-Zero Bubble Remover for bubble removal. This is the fastest and most effective method.
2. Pour the silicone rubber properly:
Reduce the pouring height and pour the silicone rubber into the mold slowly and evenly in a thin stream.
3. Remove the bubble manually:
For existing bubbles, use a thin wooden stick to remove them. Alternatively, gently squeeze or tap/vibrate the mold to allow bubbles to rise to the surface, then lightly blow to pop them.
