Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Crafting time: 6-8 hours
Materials Preparation
Materials: UV resin, heat shrink sheets, soft pastel chalks, metal accessories, green cotton thread
Tools: Heat gun, double-sided UV lamp, silicone pad, sponge, scissors, marker, needle tool or pin
Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a vapor mask for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 68–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window, or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Prepare red, green, and yellow soft pastel chalks. Use the side of a pair of scissors to gently scrape the chalk into fine powder.

Step 2
Put on gloves. Dip your fingertip into the red pastel powder and apply it to the strawberry-shaped shrink sheet in small layers, building up the color gradually.
Tip: Finger painting gives you better control over color intensity and smooth color transitions.

Step 3
Using the same method, apply yellow and green pastel powders to the shrink sheets for the strawberry flowers and leaves.

Step 4
Place a silicone pad on top of a sponge. Secure the flower- and leaf-shaped shrink sheets with a needle tool, then use a heat gun to evenly heat them until they shrink and thicken.
Tip: Keep the heat gun at least 2 inches away to prevent scorching caused by sudden temperature changes.

Step 5
Set the heat gun upright on the table using its stand. Bring the strawberry shrink sheet close to the airflow until it softens, then gently pinch and shape it with your fingers to give it a plump, realistic form.
Tip: Using our heat gun hands-free makes shaping much easier and safer.

Step 6
Apply a small amount of UV resin to the petals, leaves, and strawberry surface to create realistic dewdrop effects.

Step 7
Use a white marker to dot the strawberry seeds. Attach the strawberry and leaves to metal findings, apply UV resin, and cure under a UV lamp for about 3 minutes.

Step 8
Assemble the strawberries, leaves, and flowers onto a metal hair clip using metal accessories. Wrap any exposed metal with green cotton thread to finish the piece neatly and beautifully.
