Materials Preparation
- Materials: Clear UV Resin, Colored UV Resin, Metal Chain, Metal Accessories, Open Jump Ring, Lobster Clasp
- Tools: Toothpick, Small Measuring Cups, Silicone Mat, Wireless UV light
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a respirator for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Trim the metal chain to your desired length and apply a small amount of UV resin to connect the chains according to your necklace design.
Tip: To determine the ideal chain length, you can measure your neck size or compare it with a necklace you already wear. We recommend trying it on and adjusting the length in advance.
Step 2
Apply clear UV resin to create dots and teardrop shapes in varying sizes on the metal chain. Then cure them under the wireless UV light for 3 minutes.
Tip: After every 3–4 drops, cure the UV resin once. Waiting too long may cause the UV resin to change its intended size and shape.
Step 3
Once fully cured, gently peel the chain from the silicone mat.
Tip: Before peeling, make sure the clear UV resins are completely cured.
Step 4
Apply colored UV resin to the back of the shapes and cure under the wireless UV light for another 3 minutes.
Tip: Similarly, cure the colored UV resin after every 3–4 drops. The colored UV resin can be applied a bit thicker for a more vibrant effect.
Step 5
Finally, attach the open jump rings and lobster clasp, and any other metal accessories you like to complete your necklace.
