Keepsake Idea:DIY Pet Memory Coaster
Today, we'd like to show you an easy way to preserve your most precious moments with your pet forever. It’s a heartfelt little treasure, made by you, to hold onto those special memories for years to come. Let's get started now!
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
Crafting Time: About 2 hours
Materials Preparation
- Materials: Regular epoxy resin, extra deep round coaster resin mold, mica powder, photos, glitter, dried flowers, decoration accessories, and some printed paw paper.
- Tools: String sticks, mixing cups, Air-Zero Bubble Remover Machine, laminating film, PVA glue
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a vapor mask for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 68~77 °F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window, or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Apply a thin layer of PVA glue to the area you want to highlight in the photo. Then, sprinkle glitter over the glued area to make it stick. Gently shake off any excess glitter and clean up the surrounding area.
Tips:
- Don’t apply too much PVA glue; just spread a thin, even layer.
- Use a piece of paper to collect the shaken-off glitter and pour it back into the glitter bottle to avoid waste.

Step 2
Laminate the photos and the printed paw paper individually. Please make sure that both sides are laminated. This will seal them tightly to prevent resin seepage.

Step 3
Mix the epoxy resin thoroughly at a 1:1 ratio by volume, then divide it into three mixing cups. Add white mica powder to one cup and pink mica powder to another, mixing each until evenly blended. After that, pour the pink resin and then the white resin in sequence from the center, followed by a layer of clear resin mixture to create a natural blended pattern. Let it cure for 6–8 hours.
Tip: After mixing the colored resin, let it sit for a while or use a bubble remover machine to remove bubbles.

Step 4
Pour a layer of clear resin mixture, then place the prepared photo and printed paw paper into it.

Step 5
After decorating with dried flowers and other accessories, let it cure for 6–8 hours.

Step 6
Finally, fill the mold with the clear resin mixture fully. Let it cure for 12 hours.

Step 7
Your coaster is ready!

Pro Tip
To keep your coaster looking fresh, avoid leaving it in direct sunlight for long periods. UV exposure can cause it to oxidize and fade.
