Sphere Landscape Pendant
If you also love the drifting clouds at dusk, and the way the vibrant sky reflects a sense of happiness, with just a bit of air-dry clay, you can make clouds float right in your palm and turn them into elegant, movable jewelry that’s both dreamy and unique!
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Crafting Time: About 1–2 hours
Material Preparation
- Materials: Low viscosity UV resin、metal resin jewelry making kit, transparent resin dye, sphere mold, pendants, air-dry clay
- Tools: Disposable plastic cups, round UV lamp, stirring sticks, droppers
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-Step Operation Process
Step 1
Pour a small amount of UV resin into the sphere mold, then rotate the mold to coat the inner surface evenly.

Step 2
Quickly place it under a UV lamp to cure and set.
Tip: A UV lamp with a wavelength of 365–405 nm is recommended for best results.

Step 3
Apply the first layer of UV resin into the sphere and cure—fill to one-quarter of the sphere’s height.

Step 4
Pinch small pieces of air-dry clay to mimic cloud shapes, and let them dry for 2 hours.

Step 5
Place the clay clouds into the mold, then add UV resin up to half the height of the sphere.
Cure under the UV lamp for 3–5 minutes to complete the second layer.

Step 6
Repeat the process for the third layer, filling to three-quarters of the sphere’s height with resin and curing again.

Step 7
Add transparent resin dye to the UV resin to create blue, yellow, and purple colors. Gradually add them into the sphere mold one by one, swirl gently to mix, then cure under the UV lamp for 3–5 minutes.
Tip: Avoid using too many colors in the resin layers, as this can make the result look muddy. Control the number of colors to around three.

Step 8
Finally, fill the sphere with a layer of clear UV resin and cure until solid.

Step 9
Apply small dots of UV resin to the metal pendant, attach it to the sphere, and cure it under the lamp. Your fun sky-themed spherical pendant is now complete!
Tip: If the finished piece has rough edges, gently polish with 2000-grit sandpaper, then coat with a layer of clear UV resin and cure to restore a smooth, glossy surface.

Pro Tip
If using UV resin during winter, it may become thicker and prone to trapping bubbles in your creation.
It is recommended to place the bottle in warm water at 122°F (50°C) to restore its fluidity before use
