Let's get started ~
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Crafting Time: About 2-3 hours
Tools and Materials Preparation
- Materials:Transparent flex rubber, Cube mold, Vaseline, Ball stylus tool, Piping bag, Dropper, Transparent silicone pigment, Mini swimming ring figurine
- Tools:Measuring cup, stirring stick
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Spread a layer of Vaseline evenly inside a cube mold.
Tip: Use a generous amount of Vaseline to enhance the water ripple effect.

Step 2
Heat a ball stylus tool using a torch, then gently press it into the Vaseline to create ripple patterns in different sizes.

Step 3
Mix transparent flex rubber in a 1:1 weight ratio. Add a small amount of transparent silicone pigment and stir until fully blended. Pour the mixture into the mold and let it cure for 4-6 hours.
Tip: You can place a miniature swimming ring or other small decorations into the resin at this stage for extra detail.

Step 4
Mix a small amount of liquid flex rubber with black silicone pigment, then pour it into a piping bag. Wait about 2 hours until the mixture thickens, then use it to draw the pool grid design directly onto the cured surface.

Step 5
Once the grid lines are fully cured, use a dropper to fill the spaces with blue-colored flex rubber.
Tip:Fill the blocks in a staggered pattern to get a smoother and more even color distribution.

Step 6
After the blue areas have cured, mix white flex rubber and pour a layer into the mold. Use about one-third the amount of the blue part.

Step 7
Once fully cured, demold the piece in soapy water and clean off any remaining Vaseline.

Step 8
And that's it! Your squishy, creative, and relaxing mini swimming pool is done! Isn't it fun? We bet yours will look even better. Come craft with us and show off your version!

Pro Tip
If the surface isn't clear enough after demolding, brush on a thin layer of transparent flex rubber for a glossy finish.
