Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Apply a thin layer of vaseline to the inner side of the mold. Avoid applying too much, as excess vaseline may leave textures on the finished product.

Step 2
Mix the flex rubber in a 1:1 weight ratio, add the color pigment, and stir thoroughly for about 1-2 minutes until the mixture is evenly blended.
Tip: After mixing the flex rubber, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, or use a bubble remover machine to remove bubbles before pouring it into the mold.

Step 3
Pour the mixture into the mold until full, and let it cure for 4–6 hours.

Step 4
Once the squishes are cured, place them in a basin of water. Gently use your fingers to remove the squishy from the sides of the mold, then turn the entire piece inside out to remove it from the mold.
Tip: Squishies are soft. Without liquid lubrication, forcefully demolding may cause the squishy to tear.

Step 5
After demolding, wash the squishy with soapy water to remove surface vaseline and prevent clumping during flocking powder application. Rinse it thoroughly, then pat dry with a lint-free kitchen towel or cloth.

Step 6
Use silicone glue to attach the black decorative eyes. Brush the eyeshadow to color the nose, paws, and cheeks of the squishes, adding dimension and cuteness to their look.

Step 7
Dip a brush into a small amount of flocking powder and evenly spread a thin layer over the surface of the squishy. Then, use an acrylic paint marker to paint your desired patterns.
Tip: Flocking powder helps the acrylic marker ink stick, without it, the ink may not show up. But don’t overdo it, or it’ll clump. Just a light dusting is all you need.

Step 8
Use silicone glue to attach decorative accessories onto the painted squishy for embellishment.

Step 9
Your hand-painted squishy is ready. Time to squeeze away!

💡Pro Tip
If your hand-painted squishies get dirty, oily, or you just want to recolor them, simply use tape to lift off the acrylic ink and wipe clean with soapy water. They’ll look good as new. Avoid paper towels, as lint can stick to the surface. Better to use a lint-free kitchen towel or soft cloth.
