Let's get started!
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
Estimated Time: About 1-2 hours
Tools and Materials Preparation
- Materials: Resin Tape, Low viscosity UV resin, Jewelry Bezel, Dried Flowers, Earring Accessories
- Tools: Electric Cordless Drill, UV Lamp, Popsicle Stick
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a respirator for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instrustions
Step 1
Use two sticks to anchor both ends of the tape so it stays flat on the table without curling. If you don’t have popsicle sticks, you can use extra tape to secure the ends directly to the tabletop.
Tip: Make sure the sticky side is facing up, this will help hold the metal frame in place.

Step 2
Position the metal frame on the sticky side of the tape. Press down gently with your fingertips to keep it secure and prevent any resin from leaking out later.

Step 3
Apply a thin layer of UV resin inside the frame. Use a pointed tool to spread it evenly, ensuring it reaches all corners.
Tip: Avoid adding too much resin at once. Too much resin can make it harder to place the dried flowers and may cause overflow.

Step 4
Gently place a dried flower onto the resin. If it's too large, trim it to fit neatly within the frame. Cure under a UV lamp for 30 seconds to set the surface, then flip it over and cure the back side for another 30 seconds.
Tip: It’s important to cure both the front and back to ensure the resin is fully hardened and not sticky when demolded.

Step 5
Apply another thin layer of UV resin over the dried flower, fully covering it. Use a wooden stick to gently press down and remove any air bubbles trapped between the petals. This keeps the flower from floating up during curing.

Step 6
Use a UV lamp that covers the entire piece. A larger lamp head helps cure everything at once and improves efficiency. Cure for 2 minutes (or 2/3/5 minutes as needed), then flip and cure the back as well.
Tip: Don’t touch the resin right after curing. Let it cool for at least 2 minutes to avoid leaving fingerprints.

Step 7
Carefully peel the earrings off the tape. If the resin still feels tacky, cure it a bit longer. Once fully hardened, drill a hole in each piece using a cordless drill.
Tip: Set the drill to speed level 2 or 3. If the speed is too low, the drill may slip, damaging your work.

Step 8
Use pliers to attach ear hooks to your resin pieces. Be careful not to pinch your fingers!

Step 9
Your beautiful handmade earrings are complete! Aren’t they gorgeous? They’ll look amazing with any outfit, and since they’re handcrafted, they make an incredibly thoughtful gift that’s sure to touch the recipient’s heart.

Pro Tip
In colder seasons, UV resin becomes thicker and may trap more bubbles. To avoid this, soak the resin bottle in warm water (about 122°F / 50°C) for a few minutes before use. This helps restore its fluidity and ensures a smoother finish.
