Tools and Materials Preparation
- Materials：UV Jewelry Making Kit、Hair、Balck & White UV Resin、Small-tip Brush
- Tools：Measuring cup, stirring stick
- Protective Equipment: Always wear nitrile waterproof gloves, a waterproof apron, and a respirator for safe handling.
Environment Setup
- Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 73–78°F with humidity no higher than 50–60% RH.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally near a window or use an air purifier for better airflow.
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Add a thin layer of white UV resin into the mold and cure it under a UV lamp for 2–4 minutes.
Tip: You don’t need to fully cover the mold with this first layer, we’ll add another layer later.
Step 2
Cut a strand of hair to fit the size of the mold. Place it carefully into the mold and use a small drop of UV resin to secure the tail end. Cure briefly to hold it in place.
Step 3
Apply UV resin over the hair. Then, using the silicone stick, gently shape the hair into a tree-like form (trunk and branches). Cure with the UV lamp for about 2 minutes.
Tip: Hair texture affects shaping. Softer hair is easier to style into flowing, natural tree shapes.
Step 4
Add a thin layer of UV resin over the shaped hair. Place dried flowers or glitter from your kit onto the branches to mimic leaves. You can also use glitter mixed with UV resin to decorate the tree roots. Cure for about 20 seconds - just enough to set the decorations.
Tip: Dab a little UV resin on dried flowers before placing them, this helps keep them in place.
Step 5
Pour a final, even layer of clear UV resin over the entire mold to seal the design. Cure under the UV lamp for 2–5 minutes, depending on thickness.
Step 6
Once fully cured, attach the included chain. Your unique, memory-filled pendant is complete!
Pro Tip
In colder seasons, UV resin becomes thicker and may trap more bubbles. To avoid this, soak the resin bottle in warm water (about 122°F / 50°C) for a few minutes before use. This helps restore its fluidity and ensures a smoother finish.
